Unboxing my new SMART NETPHONE: First Impression will it last?

I got a call from a representative of SMART informing me that I can pick up my NETPHONE unit at SM Lipa Wireless Center. At first I was hesitant. The things that was going into my mind is that would it be more convenient to get a postpaid services or will i just stick to prepaid. But then my curiosity won over my being a "kuripot" mentality. So September 9, I finally get hold of my NETPHONE. I got it as a free phone from SMART ALL-IN Plan for 1200/month with a lock-up period of 24 month. It was actually a fair deal because I can customized my plan by registering. I'll just discuss it in my next blog. Actually I'm not very familiar with the new gadgets. Maybe I became too busy being a mom I didn't even know the difference between a "froyo" and a "gingerbread" hahah. I didn't even know why these youngsters are going gaga over iphone :-) So here it is my NETPHONE.

My notes:

1. They say I can use some networking site like facebook, twitter and yahoo messenger for free using their
SMARTNET connection. But honestly I still cannot enjoy the liberty of their so-called "free browsing" because the network is always down :-(

2. I have a hard time getting used to it. For me it was kinda complicated hahah maybe because I was left behind by the technology. Anyway your "nanay" is getting used to it baby steps.

3. The battery life is kinda disappointing. For someone like me who uses a phone like a hotline it requires me to charge it 2x a day.

I'll update some of the features in the next couple of days. Pardon my ignorance in the new technology :-)

Oh no! Bald Spot!

For a very long time I've been suffering from hair fall. I tried almost all kinds of hair fall shampoo in the market. But sadly none of them worked. Two months ago I accidentally noticed a bald spot on my head almost a size of a one peso coin. I literally freaked about my discovery. That same day I pay a visit to my dermatologist. She asked me if I'm undergoing chemotherapy  or radiotherapy session. I answered no to both then she told me that I am suffering from ALOPECIA. She explained that it is brought about by many factors but primarily it is a stress-related condition. She let me choose the kind of treatment that I wanted. The traditional which will require me to religiously apply hair grower to the affected area or I will get a steroid shot which cost 6000/shot! I asked her how many shots will it require before my hair come back she told me about 6-8 sessions. Upon calculating how much it will cost me I opted to chose the traditional way. But after a month of doing it nothing is happening but instead I also discovered 2 "baby bald spots" the size of a 5 cents coin. I decided I must do the steroid shot or else I might get bald. I set an appointment with my derma to schedule my shot. After talking to her my mom overheard my predicament she looked at my bald spots and told me cancel my steriod shot and try herbal approach by applying crushed GARLIC. I told her it wouldn't work she insisted for me to give it a try. So to end our discussion I gave in to her idea. After a week a noticed that hair is starting to grow on the affected area! It's already a month since I started the herbal approach for my ALOPECIA. And I'm happy that it is indeed working just fine for me. MOTHER KNOWS BEST after all. :-)

Cetaphil Skin Cleanser

Cetaphil Skin Cleanser is a gentle skin cleanser for all types of skin. I've been using Cetaphil Skin Cleanser for more than 2 decades. I started using it when I was 8 years old oooppss! I shouldn't have mentioned it! Anyway lets not focus about my age :-)

Since I am an unica hija, my mom is so concern for me to have a perfect skin heheh. So to achieve that perfect skin she drag me to her dermatologist, then the doctor told her to be careful on the products that she will use to me, instead she prescribed me to use Cetaphil. So my very O.C mom followed her from that day on I started my relationship with Cetaphil. Just imagine how many bottles i consume until this time.

Now I have two kids, they are also certified Cetaphil users just like their mom. They use the liquid cleanser on their face and the bar on their body. I admit that there are times I try different products but at the end of the day I always go back to my bff (best friend forever).

Healthy Mommy, Healthy Kids

Happy Children, Happy Mommy

They say that our children are the source of our happiness. There maybe times when we often got pissed with the things that they do. But when you see the smile on their face everything will turn upside down. It was a typical Sunday, we decided to stay in the house since I told the kids that we are cutting down our expenses :-). I dunno if it sink into their minds what I mean. So they just ran off to the garage and they started playing. After a few more minutes I started to hear their contagious laughs. With curiosity I check them out then I saw them playing in the hammock. I was speechless there they are a simple hammock can make them laugh. Then I envied them I thought I wish I was a kid again even for just an hour! I knew it was impossible so I went inside my room grab my camera and took a click on them. I spent almost 30 minutes just taking pictures of them. Then afterwards I went back inside the house then I review my shots. Suddenly I heard myself laughing again. The kind of laugh that I haven't made for a long time. Here are some of my shots hope that it can also make your day.

Mommy vs. Yaya

Have you ever felt that sometimes our kids tends to listen more to their yaya's than us? It's annoying and sometimes frustrating on our part. Our yaya has been in the family for more than 3 decades. We are lucky to have her because nowadays it is very hard to find someone like her. But yesterday I was not in my perfect mood. In our house we always have the so called "bargaining-agreement". For them to play outside they have to oblige to my simple rule like keeping their toys before playing with the computer, taking a nap and finishing their afternoon snack. It was 4 pm a perfect time to play outside, I serve them their snacks, without a word they dig in to what I have served them. They are literally in a hurry because their playmates are waiting outside our gate. It just happened that my 2 kids and my niece finished their snacks ahead of my nephew. So like a typical kid my nephew Zach, doesn't want to finish his food anymore because the 3 kids left him. He told me "Mommy Ninang I'm done!" I looked at his plate and i saw that there's still some food left on his plate. So I told him "We agreed earlier, if you will not finish you food you are not entitled to play outside" then our yaya Aida heard our conversation. Without a word she approached Zach and told him to stop eating and go ahead to play outside. I was stunned with what she said suddenly, Mommy Ninang as they called me became, Monster Ninang! At the back of my mind what is wrong with you! So I told her to shut up and let me do the disciplining that I wanted. As long as I am not being physical with them let me do my work! I was really pissed with our confrontation yesterday. I talked to my mom and my dad about it I told her my stand. I knew they understand me. But, nevertheless I will still be forever thankful to her for her loyalty in our family. But still I want her to understand that I am still the MOM and the MOMMY NINANG to my kids and my brothers kids...
